Job Description
Bachelor’s in Medical Technology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field, National certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent), and 1–2+ years recent hospital lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for an experienced Laboratory Professional, bringing expertise as a Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician, to provide crucial support in a dynamic clinical laboratory setting. This contract role emphasizes precision, efficiency, and a commitment to delivering reliable diagnostic results.
Schedule:
- Day shifts
- 4x10-hour shifts per week
- 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT/MLS/CLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT) required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- Strong knowledge of standard laboratory practices and procedures
- Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems preferred
- Adherence to safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate and timely analyses on clinical specimens in all laboratory disciplines including chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and immunology
- Ensure quality control and quality assurance standards are consistently met
- Monitor and calibrate laboratory equipment; document all maintenance activities
- Prepare and process specimens following established protocols
- Document test results and maintain accurate patient data within the laboratory information system
- Communicate findings clearly and effectively with medical staff and appropriate healthcare team members
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines
