Special Education Teacher - Jerome, Idaho

Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Idaho State Teaching Certificate (required)
• Idaho Exceptional Child Certificate (required)
• SPED Endorsement with demonstrated knowledge of special education best practices
• Prior experience working within self-contained and resource classrooms (ERC experience beneficial)
• Comfortable assisting with toileting and personal care for students as needed
• Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and administration

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for a diverse caseload of K-12 students
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet each student’s unique needs and abilities
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive learning environment that promotes student independence
• Track progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with parents and staff to ensure student goals are met
• Work closely with general education staff and paraprofessionals to provide a consistent and unified approach to student support
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a culture of ongoing learning and collaboration

Schedule

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Onsite only, with the assignment running from August 20, 2026, through May 26, 2027
