Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – New Mexico School Districts
Remote | 1099 Independent Contractor
Partner with VocoVision to Support Students Across New Mexico
VocoVision is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide virtual services to K–12 students throughout New Mexico. This is an excellent opportunity for clinicians who are passionate about helping students reach their communication goals while enjoying the flexibility of a fully remote position.
As a virtual SLP, you'll use VocoVision's secure teletherapy platform to deliver individualized services, collaborate with school teams, and support students with a variety of speech and language needs—all from the comfort of your home.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy through a virtual platform.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and reassessments to determine student eligibility and service needs.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal and state guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, therapy logs, and evaluation reports.
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families to support student progress.
- Adapt therapy techniques and materials to meet each student's unique communication needs.
- Manage an organized caseload while maintaining professional communication with school personnel and caregivers.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university.
- Active New Mexico Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Valid New Mexico educator certification (if required by the district).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or required, depending on district placement.
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable using technology and virtual therapy platforms.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote teams.
