What We’re Looking For:
- Strong background in teaching science at the high school level
- Current, active Louisiana Department of Education teacher certification (no TAT or in-progress licenses considered)
- Comfortable working full-time (35 hours/week), Monday through Friday in alignment with a school calendar
- Flexible and adaptable—number of school site assignments and caseload will be confirmed prior to placement
- Willing to fulfill strict credentialing requirements, including district-specific drug screening and fingerprinting
Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering dynamic science instruction for general education high school students
- Developing lesson plans that engage learners and promote understanding of key science concepts
- Assessing student performance and providing timely feedback to support academic growth
- Collaborating with school staff and administration to maintain an effective classroom environment
- Attending professional development and required district meetings as scheduled
