Step into a dynamic and impactful opportunity as an Educational Diagnostician supporting high school students in a contract role. This position focuses on providing specialized assessments, collaborating closely with ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) specialists, and shaping educational outcomes for students in a fast-paced secondary school environment. The assignment spans the academic year, with a full-time 40-hour-per-week commitment from August 12, 2026, through May 27, 2027.

Qualifications:

  • Current Texas Educational Diagnostician Certification is required
  • Demonstrated experience working as an educational diagnostician in Texas public schools, ideally at the high school level
  • Comfort and skill in conducting ARDs and student evaluations
  • Familiarity with Texas special education processes and compliance guidelines
  • Ability to obtain fingerprint clearance through the district’s background check protocol
  • Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable approach to interdisciplinary teamwork

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete comprehensive student evaluations to guide IEP/ARD team decisions and instructional planning
  • Collaborate with ARD specialists and other school professionals to develop, review, and revise educational programs for individual students
  • Facilitate and document legally compliant ARD meetings as needed
  • Maintain thorough, accurate records and evaluation reports in accordance with district and state standards
  • Serve as a resource for faculty and families, providing insight on assessment results and individual student needs
