School Psychologist in Auburn, KS

Step into a dynamic, student-centered environment supporting elementary learners in grades Pre-K through 5. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact as a School Psychologist while enjoying a flexible hybrid schedule—work three days onsite and two remotely! The assignment spans from early August through late May, with the option to participate in an important preparatory meeting before the school year begins.

You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to assess, counsel, and advocate for students, some of whom present with behavioral needs. Your expertise will help shape individualized plans, create more inclusive classrooms, and foster positive outcomes for all learners.

What we’re seeking:

• Current and valid School Psychologist license (please submit a copy with your resume)
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, especially Pre-K through 5th grade
• Strong background in behavioral intervention and assessment preferred
• Commitment to working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Organizational abilities to balance assessments, documentation, and meetings effectively
• References should be available upon request prior to interview

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Conduct student evaluations to identify learning, behavioral, or emotional needs
• Collaborate with staff and parents to develop and monitor IEPs and behavioral plans
• Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and skill-building as required
• Maintain comprehensive and timely assessment records
• Attend and facilitate meetings with educators and families
• Support a safe, inclusive, and positive school climate
