Registered Nurse School Setting in Aurora, IL

Step into a vital school nursing opportunity supporting students and families in a collaborative and inclusive educational environment. This contract role offers a full school year schedule (approximately August 2026 through May 2027, 37.5 hours weekly) and requires the energy and expertise of a Certified School Nurse (CSN) to effectively manage the health office and actively participate in students’ IEP and 504 processes.

As a CSN, you are not just responding to daily health concerns—you’ll also complete comprehensive medical reviews and be an integral voice in student support teams. Attendance and reliability are particularly valued, ensuring that students consistently receive the support they need.

Qualifications:

• BSN with a current PEL (Professional Educator License) endorsement for Certified School Nurse—completion of all required coursework
• Demonstrated CSN or relevant school nursing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to manage and document health office activities, reviews, and medical records
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are a significant asset
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively, embrace flexibility, and maintain a positive, team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities:

• Operate and lead all aspects of the school health office
• Conduct medical reviews and provide necessary documentation for student health needs
• Participate as an active team member in IEP and 504 plan meetings
• Support a culture of health, safety, and well-being for all students

In-Person Engagement:

• Participation in on-site interviews is expected for this position
