Job Description
Make a difference in the lives of students by providing care as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a supportive school environment near Saint Johns, FL. This contract opportunity offers the flexibility of part-time (PRN/substitute) assignments while allowing the possibility of transitioning into a full-time, long-term position based on district needs and availability. You’ll primarily be based at one elementary, middle, or high school, working closely with students in the health room and responding to varying daily health needs.
What you bring:
- Active Florida LPN license
- High school diploma or GED
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- School-based experience preferred, but not required
- Willingness to complete district-required orientation and necessary credentialing (including fingerprint clearance and JLA badge if needed)
- Compassion, adaptability, and strong communication skills
Role highlights:
- Provide day-to-day health support for students, including medication administration, first aid, and responding to medical issues as they arise
- Monitor and document student health status and care provided
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student wellness
- Attend required orientation sessions at the district office (offered monthly)
