HR Leave of Absence Specialist

LHH is looking for a temporary Leave Specialist for our client, a Non Profit Organization based on Long Island, in-person in Hauppauge. This person will be part of a six person HR team and be the first point of contact for all benefit and leave of absence questions. This organization has approximately 600 employees. The ideal person for this job would be someone that likes to work independently and has had a focus on processing LOA, FMLA, PFL and answering general benefit inquiries. This position will pay between $30-40/hr, contingent on experience.

Responsibilities:
• Point of contact for all benefits/FMLA questions
• Assist with processing employee lifecycle changes
• Audit system information on employees
• Assist with all benefits programs

Requirements:
• MUST have previous experience processing leaves of absences
Familiar with LOA laws and policies
2+ years of Benefits experience
• Strong project management skills
• Knowledge of benefits laws in multiple states
• Strong Excel skills

Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
