Clinical Research Nurse
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) to support a leading healthcare organization’s neurological institute. This individual will act as a clinical leader across a variety of neurology and neurosurgery-focused trials, partnering with principal investigators, research staff, and external sponsors including industry and government entities like the NIH. This role is ideal for a motivated, independent nurse who is passionate about clinical research and advancing patient care. The CRN will oversee clinical trial execution, provide guidance to research coordinators, and ensure high-quality study delivery across a mix of acute and chronic trials. Day-to-Day:
- Lead and manage 3-4 assigned clinical trials while supporting ~10–12 active trials overall
- Partner closely with Principal Investigator (PI) on study execution and clinical decisions
- Identify, screen, and enroll patients; determine eligibility for trials
- Conduct follow-up visits and clinical assessments per trial protocols
- Provide oversight and clinical guidance to about 3-4 Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs)
- Monitor, identify, and report adverse events to the PI
- Manage trial schedules, timelines, and study roadmaps
- Enter and review study data, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Support trials involving drugs, devices, surgical, and observational methodologies
- Draw blood and perform hands-on procedures as required by study protocols
Must-Haves:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (NJ or compact license required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 1–5 years of clinical research experience
- Energetic, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
- Personal vehicle for travel to various sites
Plusses:
- Clinical Research Certification
- Neurology research experience
- Background in oncology, trauma, or emergency medicine
