Retail Staff Pharmacist in Carlisle, KY

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A busy retail pharmacy located in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to support their team in delivering excellent pharmacy services. This role offers the opportunity to work in a well-staffed, fast-paced environment with dedicated technician support throughout the week and on select Saturdays.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays per week)
• Saturday coverage 1 to 2 times per month, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy and safety
• Provide thorough patient counseling and answer medication-related questions
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and collaborate with technician staff
• Utilize PioneerRx system to process and manage prescription orders efficiently
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Support daily operations of a high-volume retail pharmacy averaging 3,000 prescriptions weekly
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and team members
• Assist with scheduled Saturday shifts as needed

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Experience using PioneerRx system preferred
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
