Job Description
Step into a dynamic educational setting for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) where you’ll provide specialized support to 12th-grade students. This contract role offers the opportunity to make a real difference from August 19, 2024, through May 30, 2025, working 35 hours each week among dedicated professionals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP-CCC certification required
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience or a strong interest in working with high school students
- Solid grasp of current intervention methods and familiarity with IEP documentation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy to 12th-grade students with communication needs; caseload size to be determined
- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to support speech/language development
- Create, implement, and update individualized treatment plans and goals
- Document progress, prepare accurate reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers, faculty, and families to promote student success
- Maintain updated and compliant records according to school policies
