Job Description
Embark on a dynamic contract assignment as a dedicated Occupational Therapist supporting students across two elementary schools and one private school setting. This maternity leave coverage offers the opportunity to work collaboratively within educational environments, making a direct impact on student success in the greater Canton, GA area. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you will engage with diverse elementary caseloads, fostering independence and adaptive skills in young learners.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Georgia
- Experience providing OT in schools strongly preferred
- Ability to manage and provide services to multiple school sites efficiently
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Preparedness to fulfill all district and regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students per individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess and document student needs, strengths, and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support classroom participation and learning outcomes
- Travel between assigned schools and provide services to a student in a private setting as needed
- Adapt therapeutic activities to school-based environments and participate in IEP meetings
