Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current PEL (Professional Educator License) required
- Proven experience as a School Psychologist, with a strong background in early childhood programs preferred
- Deep understanding of screening, play-based assessments, and early intervention strategies
- Ability to contribute to the development of IEPs and offer guidance throughout the initial process
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
- Enthusiasm for supporting young students’ growth and well-being
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct screening and play-based assessments for early childhood students
- Collaborate with staff and families on the initial IEP process, offering expertise throughout documentation and planning
- Provide day-to-day student support, addressing needs as they arise
- Maintain accurate and ethical records in line with school and state requirements
- Participate in team meetings and orientation sessions on August 11th and 12th
- Manage a full caseload with hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM during the academic year, which runs from August 14th to May 28th
