School Psychologist - Elgin, Illinois

Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current PEL (Professional Educator License) required
• Proven experience as a School Psychologist, with a strong background in early childhood programs preferred
• Deep understanding of screening, play-based assessments, and early intervention strategies
• Ability to contribute to the development of IEPs and offer guidance throughout the initial process
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams
• Enthusiasm for supporting young students’ growth and well-being

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct screening and play-based assessments for early childhood students
• Collaborate with staff and families on the initial IEP process, offering expertise throughout documentation and planning
• Provide day-to-day student support, addressing needs as they arise
• Maintain accurate and ethical records in line with school and state requirements
• Participate in team meetings and orientation sessions on August 11th and 12th
• Manage a full caseload with hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM during the academic year, which runs from August 14th to May 28th
