About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Material Handler to support our battery systems production team. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, kitting, and delivering materials to production; maintaining accurate inventory records; and ensuring materials flow safely and efficiently throughout the facility. The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing warehouse, is comfortable with ERP transactions, and can operate material handling equipment in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound & Receiving
    • Receive incoming materials, verify against packing lists/POs, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
    • Process receipts in ERP/MRP and label materials per site standards (barcodes, lot/serial, date codes).
  • Inventory Control
    • Perform daily cycle counts, reconciliation, and root-cause corrective actions for variances.
    • Maintain organized, clean warehouse zones and accurate bin locations.
  • Outbound & Logistics
    • Prepare shipments (commercial/parcel/LTL), create BOLs and shipping docs, and coordinate pickups.
    • Pack per handling requirements for ESD-sensitive components and battery-related freight.
  • Compliance & Safety
    • Follow ESD, PPE, and 5S standards; adhere to warehouse SOPs and visual controls.
    • Handle and store battery materials per site policies; follow hazmat and lithium-ion handling guidelines.
    • Operate pallet jacks and (if certified) forklifts safely; report equipment issues and near misses promptly.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Basic proficiency with ERP/MRP or WMS transactions (receiving, issuing, transfers) and handheld scanners.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and operate pallet jacks; forklift operation.
  • Familiarity with ESD-safe handling and basic inventory control practices (cycle counting, FIFO).
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
  • Eligible to work in the U.S.

Compensation: $25.00/hr to $30.00/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
