Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This per diem pharmacist role supports a behavioral health facility with weekend and paid time off (PTO) coverage. The position requires filling medication orders, restocking Omnicell and floor stock, reviewing clinical data, and collaborating with healthcare providers as part of a small team of 1.2 pharmacists. No technician support is available on weekends.

Location: Fayetteville, AR
Schedule:

  • Weekends: One weekend per month, 8am–4pm (one weekend day shift)
  • PTO coverage for days of operation as needed
  • Weekdays: 8am–4pm
  • Weekends: 8am–12pm

Responsibilities:

  • Fill and deliver medication orders to med rooms
  • Replenish Omnicell machines and floor stock inventories
  • Review patient clinical data to approve and process medication orders
  • Communicate with physicians regarding treatment plans and potential drug interactions
  • Provide medication-related support and answer questions for nurses, physicians, and patients

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Valid Arkansas pharmacy license required
  • Prior hospital inpatient pharmacy or retail pharmacy experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Omnicell automation is a plus
  • Comfortable working independently, particularly since no weekend technician support is available

Additional Information:

  • Mandatory orientation: August 10–11
  • Training begins the week of August 17
  • Initial coverage dates begin August 22–23, with additional weekend and holiday shifts through November and potentially beyond
