Key Qualifications:

  • Active and current Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) required—please provide a copy upon submitting your application.
  • Prior experience in special education—Life Skills Self-Contained or Instructional/Resource preferred.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Commitment to in-person instruction for the duration of the assignment.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a new educational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students with exceptionalities, tailored to either a self-contained Life Skills or Instructional/Resource environment.
  • Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and track student progress.
  • Collaborate with general educators, related service providers, and families.
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom climate.
