Job Description
Step into an impactful role where you’ll make a measurable difference in early learners’ lives as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting children aged 3-5 years. This full-time, on-site contract is located near Belfair and Bremerton, WA, serving early childhood and elementary school students in developmental preschools, with itinerant responsibilities and participation in child find evaluations. Your expertise will help empower young children to reach their communication milestones while you collaborate with a dynamic educational team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Speech Language Pathology license and Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC), with ASHA certification
- Active ESA certification for Washington State
- Experience in pediatric and school-based settings, delivering SLP assessments/interventions
- Comfortable working with early learners (3-5 years old), including students with diverse developmental needs
- Background in both traditional and teletherapy modalities a plus
- Skilled at running child find evaluations and developing/implementing IEP goals
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Preferred: Experience with itinerant models and cross-disciplinary collaboration
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging, individualized speech and language therapy for early learning and elementary students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, create IEPs, and track student progress
- Deliver direct and consultative SLP services in both classroom and itinerant settings
- Complete evaluations for developmental preschool and participate in child find initiatives
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic student growth
- Maintain detailed documentation according to district/state guidelines
