Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Delaware
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- School-based SLP experience desired, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and school staff
Position Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs
- Deliver engaging therapy sessions, both individually and in small group settings
- Document student progress and maintain timely, accurate records in accordance with school and legal requirements
- Consult with teachers and families, providing strategies for classroom and at-home support
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to collaborative decision-making
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in the field
