This position is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists (CCC or CFY) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) with an interest in educational settings. With a two-day-per-week schedule, you'll have the chance to make a difference while enjoying flexibility in your workweek. Supervision and mentorship will be provided for qualified SLPAs.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current or pending licensure in Arizona as an SLP (CCC or CFY) or SLPA
- Experience supporting speech and language needs in a school setting
- Understanding of IEPs, therapy documentation, and progress monitoring
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills when working with educators, families, and students
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school team
- For SLPA candidates, openness to supervision by a licensed SLP as required
Responsibilities Include:
- Delivering speech and language therapy to students according to their Individualized Education Plans
- Assessing student abilities and tracking progress toward communication goals
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student learning
- Attending relevant IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary teams
- Completing documentation and reporting in alignment with school and state standards
- Participating in supervision and professional growth activities as appropriate
