Qualifications & Experience:
- MN Para Educator Exam successfully completed, or at least 60 college credits attained
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to encourage and motivate students
- Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and support personnel
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful classroom environment
- Experience in educational or childcare settings preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional and behavioral support to students as directed by the special education teacher
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all learners
- Assist with implementing individualized education plans and adapting activities for diverse learning needs
- Support students with daily tasks, routines, and classroom participation
- Collaborate with the educational team to monitor progress and communicate student needs
- Help maintain classroom organization and a positive learning space
