Job Description

This contract opportunity is perfect for school psychologists who thrive when actively engaging with diverse student populations and collaborating with educational teams. You’ll work full-time, dividing your efforts between an elementary and a middle school setting. Both locations are conveniently close, making the transition between sites easy throughout the school week.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Delaware School Psychologist license (required for consideration)
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Experience working in elementary and/or middle school settings preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and develop appropriate intervention recommendations
- Consult with teachers, staff, and families to support student learning and social-emotional well-being
- Design and implement evidence-based interventions for academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
- Contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and 504 planning
- Deliver short-term counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Support development of a positive, inclusive school climate at both sites
- Maintain clear, confidential records and timely, accurate documentation
This contract begins in late August, with consistent hours (Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours weekly) through early June. You’ll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact in two learning communities and further your career in a rewarding school-based role.
