This contract opportunity is ideal for paraprofessionals interested in both 1:1 and classroom-based assignments, collaborating with experienced educators to make a meaningful difference.
What we’re seeking:
- Previous experience working in a school setting, particularly within a paraprofessional role
- High school diploma required; no additional certifications or degrees necessary
- Ability to adapt to mixed 1:1 and group classroom support as needed
- Dependable, proactive, and patient approach with students of varying needs
- Professional references (three required, including your most recent manager) must be provided prior to interviewing
Scope of responsibilities:
- Offer attentive, caring assistance to students through both individual and small group support
- Collaborate with teachers to implement lesson plans and classroom activities
- Reinforce positive behavior and foster an inclusive learning environment
- Participate in faculty meetings, training, and ongoing communication with educators
- Assist with classroom organization, documentation, and daily routines
This contract covers the full school year, with a consistent weekday schedule of 7:30am–2:30pm (32.5 hours weekly, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch). You’ll have the chance to build valuable experience and provide encouragement and structure that empowers students every day.
