Job Description

This contract opportunity involves supporting students in a school setting near Wilmington, DE, with a unique chance to also provide services to those who are medically homebound when needed.
You’ll collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams, adapting your approach to serve a diverse caseload that shifts throughout the school year. Flexibility is key, both in terms of full-time and part-time schedule options and in working across various sites, depending on student needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Delaware required
- Strong clinical background with demonstrated experience in school-based OT assessment and intervention
- Willingness and ability to support both in-building students and those receiving homebound instruction
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for working with students, educators, and families
- Comfortable handling a fluctuating caseload and adapting to varying school assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to K-12 students, targeting their individual educational, developmental, and functional needs
- Provide interventions both within the school and for homebound students as assigned
- Collaborate with educators, special services staff, and families to develop and implement student-centered treatment plans
- Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, progress, and outcomes in compliance with school and district standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multi-disciplinary team initiatives
