In this role, you'll be crucial in evaluating student needs, collaborating with educators and families, and ensuring every student receives tailored support that helps them thrive. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid certification as an Educational Diagnostician
- Previous experience working within a school setting, preferably with middle school-aged students
- Strong understanding of special education processes, eligibility, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent assessment, observation, and report-writing skills
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload efficiently and compassionately
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student evaluations to determine eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to interpret assessment findings and develop individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide ongoing consultation and support to staff regarding assessment results and best instructional practices
- Ensure all evaluations and required documentation meet federal, state, and school compliance standards
- Participate actively in ARD/IEP meetings and help guide instructional interventions based on student needs
- Maintain meticulous records and timelines for all students on the caseload
