Financial Reporting Manager

Hauppauge, NY

If you have a strong financial reporting background out of a large company, you are going to want to hear about this position! One of Long Island's largest and most stable companies is looking for an experienced Manager with a strong GAAP reporting background. This is a new role within the organization and will be integral is translating and communicating financial reporting pronouncements across this large organization. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a corporation that can and will offer you professional growth and development. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary in the range of $150,000-175,000 plus bonus.

Responsibilities include:

· Reporting to the CFO

· Staying up on current and new accounting pronouncements and implementing across the company

· Planning for and implementing reporting updates

· Working with accounting and finance leaders, management and staff to ensure compliance

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting plus at least 5 years of accounting experience

· Public accounting background required, as is a CPA license

· Experience within complex GAAP, SEC, SOX environments required

· Management experience, good leader, able to motivate both direct and indirect reports

· ERP experience is preferred; Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards
