MEP Coordinator
Job Description
About the Role:
An Insight Global client is seeking a Construction Superintendent / Commissioning Coordinator to support electrical infrastructure projects. This person will coordinate field activities, oversee documentation, support commissioning efforts, and ensure projects stay on schedule. This role includes 100% travel, meaning, you will be gone 3 weeks per month and home working remotely 1 week per month. All travel is reimbursed and can be to anywhere within the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate installation activities and verify quality standards
- Work with owners, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and vendors
- Support commissioning readiness and testing activities
- Manage punch lists, field documentation, and reporting in Procore
- Perform site walkdowns and verify project completion milestones
- Conduct safety inspections and support LOTO/PPE compliance
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to leadership
- Serve as the primary onsite contact when leadership is offsite
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of construction experience, preferably electrical
- Trade school, college coursework, or journeyman equivalent
- Experience using Procore and Adobe Acrobat/PDF editing tools
- Ability to read blueprints, submittals, specifications, and one-line diagrams
- Working knowledge of ATS, UPS, and switchgear systems
- Exposure to commissioning activities
- Familiarity with EPMS and SCADA concepts
- Strong communication and coordination skills
