Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is designed for experienced pharmacists specializing in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) to support full-time needs within a specialty MTM environment. The role offers a 13-week assignment with the potential for direct hire, providing a pathway to long-term career growth in either onsite or remote settings. Candidates must hold a current Louisiana pharmacist license along with at least five additional state licenses from a specified list, demonstrating flexibility to serve diverse patient populations across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and dispense medications according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Interpret and transcribe prescriptions into computerized patient medication profiles.
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date pharmacy patient medication records.
  • Dispense pharmaceuticals while ensuring compliance with legal requirements, including controlled substances documentation.
  • Monitor and evaluate drug therapy regimens for safety and appropriateness, identifying potential interactions and adverse reactions.
  • Provide clinical consultations and offer cost-effective therapeutic alternatives to medical practitioners.
  • Document all clinical interventions meticulously.
  • Participate in quality improvement, medication use reviews, and maintain regulatory logs and records.
  • Oversee pharmacy support personnel, verify daily activities, and contribute to performance appraisals.
  • Organize workflow for timely pharmacy service delivery with minimal supervision.
  • Conduct regular inspections of medication storage areas, removing expired or unusable drugs.
  • Professionally handle patient and practitioner communications.

Qualifications:

  • Current Louisiana Pharmacist license required.
  • Licensure in a minimum of five additional states from the approved list including Alaska, Arkansas, California, and others.
  • Prior retail or hospital pharmacy experience with demonstrated proficiency in Medication Therapy Management.
  • Commitment to obtain up to 10 total state licenses (excluding Louisiana) within 18 months.
