Per Diem Inpatient Retail Staff Pharmacist in Bentonville, AR
Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide critical pharmaceutical care in a behavioral health setting as a per diem pharmacist with weekend and PTO coverage responsibilities. This role supports a small inpatient team, ensuring safe and effective medication management with limited support during weekends.
Location:
- Bentonville, AR
Schedule:
- One weekend per month (8am–4pm)
- PTO coverage for days on point (DOP)
- Weekday shifts (8am–4pm)
- Weekend shifts (8am–12pm)
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately fill medication orders and deliver to medication rooms
- Manage Omnicell and floor stock replenishment
- Review clinical data and process orders as appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians to optimize patient treatment plans
- Support nurses, physicians, and patients by answering medication-related inquiries
- Function independently during weekend shifts with no technician support
- Participate in mandatory orientation and training sessions as scheduled
Qualifications:
- Valid Arkansas pharmacy license
- Experience in hospital inpatient or retail pharmacy settings required
- Familiarity with Omnicell automation is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced inpatient environment

- Staff size: 1.2 Pharmacists FTE; limited weekend support
- Order entry system: HCS (training provided)
- Orientation required: August 10-11
- Training week begins August 17
- Coverage starts August 22
