Special Education Teacher - Stillwater, Minnesota

This contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated group of students with Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a Setting 3 classroom, guiding them toward growth and success.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching license (Tier 3 or 4) with required ASD or DCD endorsement
• Preferred background: EBD (Emotional/Behavioral Disorders) or ASD specialty
• Experience with Setting 3 classrooms and/or students with diverse learning needs
• Familiarity with evidence-based instructional practices tailored to DCD and ASD populations
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
• Passion for creating supportive, individualized learning pathways

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and case management to a classroom of approximately 6-10 students
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned to each student’s needs
• Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families
• Adapt lesson plans and modify curriculum as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture
• Track progress and maintain required documentation
• Communicate regularly with parents and multidisciplinary teams
