Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity serving young learners as a Speech-Language Pathologist on a part-time, contract basis for the upcoming school year. You'll play a vital role in supporting students’ speech and language development, likely at an elementary school, for 20 hours per week.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Texas state licensure for Speech-Language Pathology
- Previous experience working in pediatric settings, especially within schools
- Strong understanding of IEP process and knowledge of school-based service delivery
- Skilled in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and documenting progress
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Compassionate approach to working with young children and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality speech and language therapy to elementary-aged students
- Perform thorough speech/language evaluations and re-evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment data and IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation consistent with school and professional standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, share expertise, and help drive student outcomes
- Stay current on best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology and school-based services
