This full-time, contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 academic year offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on early learners from kindergarten through second grade. Work a consistent schedule from 7:45 A.M. to 2:55 P.M., totaling 37.5 hours per week, and join a dedicated team focused on students’ success.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a School Psychologist in Illinois
- Experience in elementary settings, especially K-2, preferred
- Demonstrated strength in leading special education teams
- Comfort facilitating eligibility, IEP, MTSS, and 504 meetings
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with families and interdisciplinary staff
- Ability to manage a moderate-sized caseload (approximately 75 students with IEPs)
- Knowledge of cognitive testing procedures and experience in evaluation processes
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the special education team in planning and service delivery
- Coordinate and facilitate eligibility, IEP, MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports), and 504 Plan meetings
- Oversee problem-solving procedures and support staff in evidence-based decision-making
- Evaluate students as part of assessment teams, with minimal direct service minutes required
- Act as the primary point of contact for compliance and paperwork related to special education
