Job Description
Step into an impactful role as an Occupational Therapist serving elementary-aged students. This contract opportunity covers maternity leave and offers the chance to support students’ growth and independence in a school environment. The position involves serving two elementary campuses and one private school student.
You’ll collaborate with educators and staff to facilitate students’ participation in daily routines and classroom activities. Full-time hours are scheduled at 37.5 per week, with a tentative assignment running from early November through late January, and the potential for extension through February.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license required
- Prior experience in a school OT setting preferred
- Comfortable managing a diverse elementary caseload
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Skilled in evaluation, intervention planning, and implementing therapeutic strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students per IEP goals
- Complete evaluations, re-evaluations, and progress reports as needed
- Develop and update treatment plans individualized to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers and other service providers to support classroom integration and modifications
- Consult with parents and educational staff to maximize student outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and professional guidelines
