This contract opportunity is based at a vibrant academy serving diverse learners, with settings in resource, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) center-based, and Ready Set LAUNCH programming. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting students in resource, DCD, or Ready Set LAUNCH program environments, depending on preference and caseload needs
  • Collaborating closely with special education teachers and therapists to deliver individualized support
  • Supporting students with academic, behavioral, functional, and social-emotional skills
  • Assisting with personal care, including toileting and hygiene, as needed
  • Contributing positively to a supportive, inclusive classroom community
  • Following daily routines and supporting students’ participation in activities
  • Communicating effectively with staff and demonstrating flexibility in dynamic settings

To qualify, candidates must meet at least ONE of these requirements:

  • Pass the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (MN Para Educator Exam)
  • OR have at least 60 college credits (must submit official college transcripts—photos or diplomas do not suffice)

Other requirements:

  • Resume and highly qualified documentation are both required for consideration
  • Willingness to assist with toileting and personal care
  • Comfortable working a Monday through Friday schedule, 32.5 hours per week, full academic year (early September 2026 to early June 2027)
  • After 422 contract hours, there may be an opportunity for direct hire with the district

Compensation is set at $20 per hour.
