What You’ll Bring:
- Accredited bachelor’s degree
- Valid Texas Special Education (EC-12) teaching certificate
- Passion for working with elementary students in special education settings
- Previous experience with life skills, autism, or behavior classrooms is a bonus
- Strong communication skills, adaptability, and collaborative mindset
- Willingness to complete fingerprinting through TEA if not recently done for a Texas public school district
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement IEPs, tracking progress and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
- Use evidence-based instructional practices tailored for life skills, autism, or behavioral support
- Foster a safe, inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Communicate regularly with families, caregivers, and colleagues to ensure consistent support
- Maintain accurate records and uphold all state and district requirements
