Job Summary
\n We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Paralegal with expertise in employment law to join our team in the financial services industry. This role will be responsible for managing employment-related matters, supporting litigation and investigations, and developing processes that strengthen the Employment Legal teams ability to support business partners. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Administrative Support

\n
    \n
  • Draft, review, and format legal documents, correspondence, and presentations
  • \n
  • Manage employment intakes, conduct initial review of documentation, and prepare initial responses
  • \n
  • Maintain organized case files and records within Google Drive
  • \n
  • Schedule meetings, depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings
  • \n
  • Assist with invoice management from outside counsel and vendors
  • \n
  • Support development and implementation of employment legal processes to improve efficiency
  • \n

Litigation Management

    \n
  • Manage case files for litigation, arbitrations, agency charges, and internal investigations
  • \n
  • Track deadlines, statutes of limitations, and maintain accurate calendars
  • \n
  • Coordinate discovery responses, including collection, review, and production of documents
  • \n
  • Assist in preparation of pleadings, motions, briefs, and filings
  • \n
  • Liaise with outside counsel to ensure efficient information flow and compliance with policies
  • \n

Compliance & Investigations

  • Support internal investigations by organizing documentation and scheduling interviews
  • \n
  • Assist with compliance initiatives related to employment laws and regulations
  • \n
  • Help develop and maintain training materials and resources for HR and management teams
  • \n
\n

Project Management

\n
    \n
  • Develop and manage project plans for key initiatives, including stakeholder engagement and resource tracking
  • \n
  • Identify gaps and resolve blockers to maintain project momentum
  • \n
  • Facilitate communication with stakeholders across departments
  • \n
  • Conduct retrospectives and document lessons learned from projects
  • \n

Required Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • 57 years of in-house employment paralegal or case management experience
  • \n
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • \n
  • Proficiency with Google Drive / G-Suite
  • \n
  • Experience with case management and eDiscovery tools (e.g., Exterro)
  • \n
  • Experience with billing and invoice management systems
  • \n
\n

Education and/or Experience

\n
    \n
  • All education levels considered, provided candidate meets experience requirements
  • \n
\n

Nice to Have

  • Strong background in litigation holds, discovery management, and document production
  • \n
  • Data tracking and analytics experience for litigation and employment matters
  • \n
  • Demonstrated project management skills and cross-functional collaboration
  • \n
  • Excellent organizational abilities and ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships

  • Location: San Jose, CA (Hybrid 3 days in office)
  • \n
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am 5:00 pm
  • \n
  • Interview Process: One-on-one interview, followed by a panel interview with team members
