Secret-Cleared Software Engineer

Position Title: Software Engineer (Secret Clearance)

Location: Huntsville, AL

Duration: 6-Month Contract to Hire

Pay Rate: $60-$70/Hour

Position Summary

An employer is seeking a Secret-Cleared Software Engineer in the Huntsville, Alabama area to support a complex defense system. This role will be responsible for software development activities and supporting testing efforts by monitoring, measuring, controlling, and reporting on test progress, product quality status, and test results. The individual will adapt test plans and adjust activities as conditions evolve.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of software for a complex defense system.
• Execute software development activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor, measure, control, and report on test progress.
• Track product quality status and test results.
• Adapt test plans and testing activities based on evolving project conditions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful execution of software and testing objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance
• STEM degree
• Programming experience with C++, Java, and/or Python

Preferred Qualifications

• Embedded development experience
• TCP/IP experience
• CMake experience
• gRPC experience
• CompTIA Security+ (Sec+) certification
