Electrical Technician

Required Skills & Experience

• 1+ years of experience in commercial electrical work in an active construction environment
• Hands-on experience with conduit installation, cable routing, and terminations
• Experience terminating signal wires (18/2 & 18/4)
• Experience using wire strippers
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and installation details
• Comfortable working at heights and in active construction environments
• OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience working in data center environments
• Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) wiring
• Experience with fiber optics installation and testing
• Prior experience operating lifts or working overhead

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Technician for a client. This individual will support large-scale data center builds by installing conduit systems, routing and terminating low-voltage, for all BMS wiring. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in fast-paced construction environments. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge infrastructure projects while gaining valuable experience in high-demand data center technologies.

Day-to-Day:

• Install conduit, raceways, and enclosures for electrical systems
• Route and secure cabling through designated pathways
• Pull, label, and terminate copper and fiber cables
• Read and execute work based on project drawings and schematics
• Assist with system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Operate lifts and perform overhead installation work as needed
• Ensure all installations are clean, organized, and code-compliant
• Follow all safety procedures and jobsite protocols

Schedule: New Albany, OH

Compensation: $22-$26/ hour
