Automation Technician

Insight Global is seeking an Automation Technician to support a manufacturing facility experiencing increased workload. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of production equipment, while ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting abilities and hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. This is a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where safety and efficiency are key.

Must-Haves:

• Strong experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
• LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) experience – required
• Comfortable with low voltage applications
• 3+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics

Plusses:

• Experience with CNC machines, press brakes, lasers, or welding equipment
• Familiarity with CMMS systems
• Strong troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and control systems
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication environments

Day-to-Day:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Maintain machines such as presses, CNCs, laser cutters, and welders
• Install and service equipment components (relays, sensors, motor starters, etc.)
• Complete and manage work orders via CMMS
• Diagnose issues and escalate complex repairs when needed
• Ensure all work is completed following safety standards and procedures
