This contract opportunity with a start date of August 12th, 2026, and completion on May 27th, 2027, offers you the chance to work with either elementary or high school caseloads in inclusion or life skills settings. The role involves providing direct instruction and differentiated support to students requiring specialized education, with manageable caseloads tailored to foster meaningful connections and measurable growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification is required
- Demonstrated experience with elementary or high school learners preferred
- Understanding of inclusion and/or life skills curriculum implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to design and adapt individualized education programs (IEPs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Track progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Work closely with general education teachers and related service providers
- Engage with families and guardians to provide updates and gather input
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment for all learners
