Several contract opportunities are available for experienced educators committed to supporting diverse student needs in elementary settings. Bring your expertise to dedicated, center-based programs or resource classrooms across multiple schools, collaborating closely with teams committed to exceptional student outcomes.

Qualified candidates will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing individualized instruction aligned with IEPs, while fostering a positive learning environment. These roles offer the chance to focus on students with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disorder (DCD), Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD), and more, according to your specific licensure and endorsement.

What You Bring:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Special Education teacher (not including paraprofessional, substitute, or general education roles)
  • Valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education teaching license
  • Appropriate endorsement(s): ASD, DCD, EBD, or ABS, tailored to position requirements
  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
  • Capacity to support IEP-driven instruction for center-based and resource settings

Roles Available:

  • Center-Based ASD/DCD (ASD or DCD endorsement required): Positions at Birch Grove Elementary, Rice Lake Elementary, Zanewood Elementary
  • Center-Based SEL (EBD, ASD, or DCD endorsement accepted): Position at Cedar Island Elementary
  • Resource (ABS, EBD, ASD, or DCD accepted): Positions at Fair Oaks, Birch Grove, and Basswood Elementary

What to Expect:

  • Full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week)
  • Academic year commitment from September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027
