Special Education Teacher - South Burlington, Vermont

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) in Vermont
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in special education settings
• Knowledge of differentiated instructional strategies and IEP implementation
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and fellow educators
• Ability to adapt to various learning styles and classroom situations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction to K-4 students with diverse learning needs, both within general education settings (push-in) and separate groups or individual sessions (pull-out)
• Develop and implement educational plans based on each student's individualized education program (IEP)
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to foster student success
• Maintain clear and consistent documentation on progress, compliance, and communication
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team discussions as needed
• Foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom environment that supports all learners
