Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility) in Vermont
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in special education settings
- Knowledge of differentiated instructional strategies and IEP implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and fellow educators
- Ability to adapt to various learning styles and classroom situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality instruction to K-4 students with diverse learning needs, both within general education settings (push-in) and separate groups or individual sessions (pull-out)
- Develop and implement educational plans based on each student's individualized education program (IEP)
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to foster student success
- Maintain clear and consistent documentation on progress, compliance, and communication
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and team discussions as needed
- Foster an inclusive, positive, and engaging classroom environment that supports all learners
