School Psychologist | Flushing, New York

In this role, you’ll have the chance to make an immediate and lasting difference in the lives of students, working closely with educators and families to support students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral growth.

Key Qualifications/Experience:

• Certification as a School Psychologist (state credentials required)
• Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
• Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and developing intervention strategies
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff, students, and caregivers
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Familiarity with IEP processes and special education regulations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological evaluations, assessments, and re-evaluations for students as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise on student needs and recommendations
• Develop and implement intervention strategies to support student achievement and well-being
• Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents to recommend effective classroom interventions and modifications
• Advocate for students’ social, emotional, and academic needs within the school community
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation to comply with school and state guidelines
