Job Description
Make a difference supporting students’ communication development in a dynamic educational environment! A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to serve onsite for the first semester at a well-established elementary school in the Connellsville, PA area. You’ll enjoy a consistent three-day workweek, working directly with students and collaborating with staff to promote academic success through effective speech and language services.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Active Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Current Pennsylvania SLP Educator Certificate
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP role preferred
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a collaborative school setting
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to a diverse caseload of elementary students, with specific numbers and needs communicated at assignment
- Perform assessments, develop IEP goals, and deliver evidence-based interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, other support staff, and families to support student success
- Contribute as a valued member of the student support team in an onsite capacity
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as required
