Key Qualifications:
- Current state certification in Special Education
- Previous classroom experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
- Expertise in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapting curriculum to suit various learning styles
- Proficiency in addressing behavioral and academic challenges
- Patience, empathy, and dedication to student success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on students’ unique strengths and needs
- Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and adjust interventions as needed
- Communicate frequently with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and concerns
- Partner with general education staff to support student integration into broader classroom activities
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and team collaboration sessions
