Responsibilities

Draw quality blood samples from patients, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with safety and quality standards

Explain procedures to patients to create a comfortable and trusting environment

Maintain accurate records and documentation of all collections and related activities

Ensure a safe and professional environment at all times

Perform specimen processing and handling in both forensic and clinical settings

Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence and confidentiality

Perform daily tasks efficiently with minimal supervision, adhering to deadlines

Required Skills

Proven phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients

Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality, error-free work

Strong customer service skills for interactions in a healthcare setting

Keyboard and data entry proficiency

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)

Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred

Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed

Reliable transportation to the worksite—personal vehicle preferred

Ability to maintain punctuality and complete entire shifts; excessive tardiness or absences may result in termination

Must list home city and commute time to the job site on your resume, ideally within 20-25 minutes
