Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A home infusion pharmacy located in Wayne, NJ, is urgently seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with active licenses in both New Jersey and California. This full-time, 12-week contract position provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations and ensure regulatory compliance in a collaborative environment.
Location: Wayne, NJ
Job Type: Contract (12 weeks)
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- No on-call required
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance with sterile and hazardous drug compounding standards
- Ensure pharmacy operations adhere to state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and DEA requirements
- Manage and support staff development, training, and performance of 7 Technicians and 4 Pharmacists
- Supervise pharmacists and technicians, maintaining overall responsibility for pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance
- Review and approve patient care plans for therapy appropriateness, dosing, and medication compatibility
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacist licenses in both New Jersey and California
- Proven experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or in pharmacy management
- Familiarity with sterile medication verification
- IV compounding experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Local candidates within commuting distance preferred
