This opportunity is available for dedicated professionals seeking a full-time, 40-hour-a-week placement across various settings—elementary resource, secondary resource, secondary ASD, and elementary TI classrooms. The position is ideally suited for educators passionate about individualized instruction and inclusive education.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid, active teaching license in Special Education (required)
- Emergency certification not accepted—must hold standard/official licensure
- Prior experience with elementary or secondary special education classrooms preferred
- Strong skills in differentiated instruction, IEP development, and progress monitoring
- Ability to foster a supportive, structured, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborative mindset for working with general education teachers, support staff, and families
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and interventions based on students' IEPs
- Manage caseloads and maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary teams to ensure students’ needs are met
- Adapt curriculum and modify instructional techniques for students in resource, ASD, or TI settings
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress reports, and ongoing professional development
- Support students’ social-emotional growth as well as academic learning in both pull-out and push-in environments
