Step into a meaningful role supporting student success across multiple PK-12 school sites. This contract opportunity begins at the end of July, with professional development days kicking off on 7/27 and the main assignment running through late May. Engage with a diverse K-12 caseload as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on educational assessments, intervention, and student growth. Part-time hours (29/week) offer flexibility, and the district is open to a hybrid schedule after initial on-site work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct educational and psychoeducational assessments to identify students' needs
• Serve as a vital resource for children and families, providing guidance and referrals to community support
• Collaborate with teachers, principals, and staff to devise and implement intervention strategies
• Clearly present assessment results and recommendations to parents, educators, and school teams
• Maintain thorough case records, reports, and documentation for compliance and program effectiveness
• Ensure assessments and reports meet established timelines and standards
• Participate in in-service training for staff and families and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
• Support IDEA compliance and special education eligibility processes

Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Department of Education certification in School Psychology (required)
• Strong grasp of psychoeducational evaluations, IDEA compliance, and special education criteria
• Experience interpreting assessment data and writing comprehensive reports
• Superb communication skills for explaining results to diverse audiences
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities
• Proven ability to collaborate with educational diagnosticians, specialists, and administrators
• Bilingual proficiency considered a plus
• Successful completion of district background check and fingerprinting
