Job Description
Take on a key role supporting the health and wellbeing of young learners in a vibrant PreK-2nd grade setting. This full-time, onsite opportunity is ideal for an experienced RN or LPN with a passion for school-based nursing. From August 17, 2026 through June 18, 2027, you'll work 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday—making a genuine difference each day.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Massachusetts-issued, active LPN or RN license (required)
- Prior school-based nursing experience is a must
- Able to complete fingerprinting and CORI clearance prior to start
- Reliable transportation to campus and punctuality for scheduled shifts
- Comfortable serving students ages PreK-2nd
- Ability to meet the demands of a structured 40-hour workweek onsite
- Approachable manner with students, educators, and families
- Willingness to participate in a virtual (Zoom) interview
Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate nursing services to young students onsite
- Manage daily medication administration, health assessments, and urgent care needs
- Maintain accurate records in line with school and state protocols
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and outside health providers
- Promote student wellness through health education and preventive programs
- Respond quickly to illness, injuries, and other health events during school hours
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all student interactions
